About

I did my cooking apprenticeship in my hometown of Melbourne, Australia then swiftly made my way to London in the 90’s where I’ve lived ever since. Several jobs later I finally ended up helping to start up the Union club, a private members club in Soho and ended up staying there heading up the kitchens for 27 years! After leaving in 2022 I’ve been able to focus more on private work, work more with @stirred travel company on their cooking holidays in Italy and France and continue my monthly farmers market stall @kewvillagemarket where I have had a pitch since it started some 12 years ago. I’m also hosting small groups for cooking lessons in my kitchen in TW9, and I’m loving having the opportunity to pass on my experience.

Still passionate about food after all these years, I love seasonal simple food that’s uncomplicated but loving.

Kew Village Market

The Kew village farmers market was established in 2011 and runs February to December on the first Sunday of the month, 10am-2pm. It’s set in lovely leafy Kew village and right out side the tube and overground station of Kew Gardens so convenient for a day out and visit to Kew Gardens. It’s run by volunteers and all profits go to local charities. There’s a lovely selection of quality stalls selling food and crafts and local bands play outside the pub. All these elements give the market a feel-good atmosphere that’s hard to find these days. We are lucky to have lots of regulars and usually sell out quickly so be early!

We sell soups (in the colder months), salads, savoury slices, cheese scones, quiches, jams and marmalades, focaccia and anything else we fancy, all homemade in Kew.
